Tessa's Light

I didn't know Tessa. I am a former colleague of Tessa's brother Trent, here at St. Anne's Belfield in Charlottesville, Virginia. Another colleague emailed their brother Todd's heartfelt obituary to our faculty and I am left completely gutted, and inspired simultaneously. I wanted to let Trent, Todd and his beautiful family know, that reading about Tessa--the luminous force of nature that she was--her profound humanity, her empathy, strength, resolve, in and out beauty, humor, brilliant writing, intelligence--is such an inspiration, even to those of us who only knew her through the loving eyes of her brother Trent, our colleague. I celebrate her light, her life and send my deepest condolences to her family and friends.
